Adriano Campagnani: Adriano Campagnani I (2007)

It’s his first solo album, although he also had put out his own compositions in “Kunk” with the “Lizards Trio”, in 2002. The compositions are now one of the most important parts of Adriano’s performance, demonstrating originality and diversity, organized by his elegant musicality. The original repertoire focus on different styles such as bossa nova, jazz, fusion, rock and funk. The recordings have the collaboration of special names, such as Nenem, Irio Jr., Paulinho Santos (Uakti), Andre Campagnani, Augusto Renno, Claudio Faria, Amauri Angelo (Aranha), Alieksey Viana and Guilherme Fonseca, enriching even more the compositions and arrangements produced by Campagnani. The CD “Adriano Campagnani I” is a result of 15 years of study and dedication to music, specially to the electric bass, which can be noticed in “Arpoador”, “Intro Predador” and “Final”, where Adriano explores the techniques and the tone of the solo instrument confirming his virtuosity. That explains the admiration he has for great musicians from all over the world. He is also very influenced by the music from Minas Gerais and the rhythmic diversity from afro music, as performed in “Komodo” and “13 Macacos”.
