Alternative original smooth jazz guitar with beautiful melodies and performances by top session men including Jeff Kashiwa (The Rippingtons), Michael Broening, Mel Brown and Rachel Eckroth.
Pete Gitlin is a guitarist and composer who is finding a new style of music that combines influences as widely diverse as Pat Metheny, Steely Dan and the Beatles to create something fresh and beautiful. His first full-length CD, Full Circle and the Great Temptation, features melodic guitar set among incredible performance by some of the top smooth jazz musicians in the country. Adding their talents to this project are such stellar performers as Jeff Kashiwa (The Rippingtons) on sax, Michael Broening (George Benson and Al Jarreau) on keyboards, Mel Brown (Wayman Tisdale and Eric Darius) on bass and Rachel Eckroth on vocals and keyboards.
Produced by John Herrera of the legendary Arizona-based band Turning Point (who also handles all drums, percussion and loops), the CD mixes funk with haunting melodies, and features two songs (Golden Love Light and Sunshine Days) with great vocals. Take a listen to music that surely will be spinning on your CD or MP3 player of choice for years to come!
