Chicago based Musician, Robert is literally a household name on the local music scene in Chicago and abroad. His versatility allows him to be a stylish musical chameleon which spans many musical platforms from Studio, Theater, Freelance (Clubs/Concerts) & Corporate with many styles from Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock to Pop, Neo Soul, and Ethnic styles including, but not limited to: Flamenco, Greek, Irish and Jewish. Stemming from an ethnic lineage from the Northeast Friuli Region of Italy, Robert's influences at an early age were molded by his family, father being an artist/architect/contractor, and mother, a novice painter. His brother played in the Drum Corp in middle school and in high school got involved with various rock bands. They would frequently rehearse at the house, Beatles and R&B type tunes, ala James Brown. Being around Music at an early age had a huge influence on Robert and his first exposure immediately attracted him to Electric Guitar, receiving his first guitar at 13. All through grade and high school, Robert's passion was divided between music and art. At sixteen, he had a chance to join a well established horn band, covering Chicago, B S & T, Tower of Power, Santana and James Gang, ect. Playing with professional musicians on the Chicago music scene, 10 years his senior, was a challenge and a tremendous learning experience. The bands would have to keep him out of sight on breaks in the local Chicago clubs because of being under age. Attending Triton College in River Grove, IL., Robert was an Art Major, but changed his major to music after seeing fellow artists and friends literally starving after graduation.
