Toyota has revealed three new concept cars at the Beijing motor show. They star among a vast Toyota show stand that’s home to 38 vehicles, and are designed to boost Toyota’s presence in the country by launching locally-developed models.
The Toyota Dear Qin concept is at Beijing in both saloon and hatchback guises. It previews a new compact global car that will be launched next year.
The model is likely to be an entry-level car targeted at consumers who have never bought a car before.
Toyota has also confirmed plans to launch a plug-in hybrid in China by the end of 2012, and a full electric vehicle by 2013.
