The Problem: The load-leveling rear suspension contains a connecting rod that could fail. The driver could experience reduced control of the car and increase the risk of a crash.
The Fix: The recall is schedule to start in August. Owners should then take their cars to a dealer for a free inspection and, if necessary, replacement of the affected level control connecting rod. Owners may contact Mercedes at (201) 573-0350.
Number of Vehicles Affected: The recall includes 3613 model year 2007-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic wagons.
