Jaguar bosses have recently confirmed the existence of the car, which is expected to use the same supercharged 542bhp V8 engine as the hardcore XKR-S. It is likely to be unveiled at the Los Angeles motor show in November.
This prototype is further developed than previous ones spied near the Nürburgring. It features a number of more production-looking aero additions.
At the front, there is a small lip spoiler and another fixed spoiler sits on the bootlid at the rear.
The new model would give Jaguar a more potent rival to the 552bhp BMW M5 and 549bhp Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Sources have admitted that the standard 503bhp Jaguar XFR is now “a bit outgunned” by its more modern rivals.
