Law Chung Him, Oscar Leung Lit Wai, Jazz Lam Chi Sin and Philip Ng Won Lung recently have been busy with the film YOUNG AND DANGEROUS RELOADED (GOO WAT JAI ji GONG WU SUN DIT JUI) in hopes of wrapping production in a dozen days or so! Two nights ago around 8PM, the four gathered in an old fashioned coffee shop in Yau Ma Tei for a negotiation and fight scene. Because of their years on television, Him Jai and Wai Wai had many housewives, children and even entire families asking for their photos.
Although the new version of the film followed the old one's story, with over a decade between the two several leads' tattoos and image had to changed a little to follow the trends. Him Jai explained, "Because this time the story takes place in 2012, if we used dragon, tiger and phoenix logos it's not too great." Wai Wai also said, "Our tattoos had to support the sense of time, so they would be heavier in art and a little more abstract with hooks, thorns and other designs. Actually they looked like a dragon tattoo on the shoulder." Him Jai pointed out that Wai Wai's tattoo was 2 eagle wings. Wai Wai joked, "I am Chicken, chicken has 2 chicken wings!"
A part of cooking up the new YOUNG AND DANGEROUS, Manfred Wong (Man Jun) revealed in a column that the film will complete production in a dozen or so days. He stressed that "fast, pretty, great and cheap" is Hong Kong film specialty. A dozen days to complete a film was not too fast because none of Lau Wai Keung era's YOUNG AND DANGEROUS took over 15 days to finish.
