Actress Rain Li was involved in Universe International Holdings (UIH) chairman, Daneil Lam Siu Ming (a filmmaker) and his ex-wife, Chui Suet Ying's lawsuit. Chiu exposed in court, Rain had complained in the past that Daneil forced her to provide sexual services. However, Rain later issued a statement expressing that the report is not true. That day, Chiu helped Rain terminate the contract she had with Daneil, it was one of the conditions on the divorce contract. She said money is not that important in her life because for her, earning money is not considered too difficult. However, she absolutely cannot allow others to make easy money by unethical means. She became emotional as she spoke, she said before her divorce she lived in a 7,000 square feet single family home, but after the divorce Daneil made her move into a 600 square feet home, gave her HK$10 million and she does not have custody of her children. In 2010, the court ruled that Daneil would have to pay an alimony of HK$30 million over 8 years. He currently still owes her HK$25 million.

As to the accusations Rain and his ex-wife made on him? Daneil expressed he will sue them until the end, he said: "Today I already told my lawyer to do the paperwork for everything.
