2012 G-Power BMW M3 E46 Review

The 2012 G-Power BMW M3 E46 Review debuted in October 2000 and is now considered a classic BMW. At the time it was introduced on the market, the engine found under its bonnet was the most powerful naturally aspired BMW engine, thus the M3 E46 became an icon in the automotive world.

The G-POWER SK I “SPORTY DRIVE” supercharger system provides the 3.2 l straight cylinder engine from the BMW M GmbH with the necessary boost to push the output from standard 343 hp/365 Nm to awesome 450 hp/460 Nm. 20 inch G-POWER “SILVERSTONE DIAMOND” alloy wheels with MICHELIN Pilot Sport tyres in the dimensions 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20, G-POWER coil-over suspension, G-POWER braking system and a stainless steel sport rear muffler featuring the legendary G-POWER “DEEPTONE” technology complete the G-POWER package for the BMW M3 E46.

The figure from stand still to 200 km/h improves from standard 18,1 seconds to impressive 14,7 seconds. Not bad for a car that has been introduced almost 10 years ago and now is even quicker than the current 420 hp strong BMW M3 V8 with its 15,8 seconds.

Together with the 20 inch G-POWER “SILVERSTONE DIAMOND” alloy wheels set and the MICHELIN Pilot Sport tyres a top speed of more than 300 km/h is achievable. The G-POWER SILVERSTONE alloy wheels have been exclusively designed for the current BMW models.

The pricing goes the G Power tuning package will set you back $9,280 (€7,000) for the performance upgrades, $5,862 (€4,422) for the new rims and Michelin Pilot Sport tires, $7,689 (€5800) for the front brakes and $5,117 (€3,860) for the rear brakes, bringing the entire tuning package to a total of $27,950 (€21.082).

2012 BMW i8 Spyder Concept Car Review

The 2012 BMW i8 Spyder Concept is a plug-in hybrid powered by an eDrive drivetrain combining a high-performance electric motor and petrol combustion engine. The lithium-ion battery supplying the motor with power can be recharged in an extremely short space of time from any domestic power socket. Together, the car’s minimised weight, low centre of gravity and finely judged balance, coupled with a combined system output of up to 260 kW (354 hp), promise unbeatable dynamic capability, exceptional efficiency and unbridled driving pleasure.

Despite its cabriolet silhouette, the vehicle will be keeping its swan doors that fold upwards. This is enabled by the carbon rich structure of the i8 which makes for a very stiff structure. The passenger ‘Life’ cell is made from carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) while the ‘Drive’ platform underneath is made from aluminium. The ithium battery can be found in the car’s spine assisting with providing a low sense of gravity and BMW’s 50:50 weight distribution.

The 96 kW (131 hp) electric motor on the front axle works in tandem with a turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine sending 164 kW (223 hp) through the rear wheels. Both units are in-house BMW Group developments and generate an aggregate system output of 260 kW (354 hp) and peak torque of 550 Newton metres. That is enough to accelerate the BMW i8 Spyder Concept from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in five seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Despite this performance, the two-seater burns just three litres of petrol per 100 kilometres (equivalent to fuel economy of 94 mpg imp) in the European test cycle.

2012 AC Schnitzer BMW 328i Saloon Review

AC Schnitzer help the 3-series make an even more impressive appearance with a performance upgrade for the BMW 328i. An extra control unit allows it to deliver 217 kW/ 295 HP and a maximum torque of 410 Nm onto the asphalt, and with its governed top speed of 250 km/h the 3-series by AC Schnitzer tightens the bonds to its driver. As appearances are also important, these inner values are reflected in the AC Schnitzer engine styling.

BMW 328i used car original twin supercharged 2.0L engine capacity of 240 horsepowr and 350 Nm of torque (258 lb-ft), capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and Maximum speed electronically limited at 250 km/h.
With an upgraded ECU and exhaust system of the AC Schnitzer sports, increased engine power 291 kW and torque of 410 Nm (302 Lb-ft), thereby reducing the acceleration time from 0-100 km/h down to 5.7 seconds, maximum speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h.
In addition, the company has added AC Schnitzer kit upgraded sports suspension system, with many options design alloy wheels with size from 18-20 inches.

2012 BMW CLR 600 GT Lumma Design Review

The subtle aerodynamic package of the BMW CLR 600 GT Lumma Design is presented with great attention to detail. Alongside a front spoiler with LED daytime driving lights and side skirts, a rear diffuser is also included. The parts – produced in OEM quality – give the BMW Cabriolet a sporty appearance, which is underpinned by a noticeable power boost and improved vehicle dynamics.

The subtle aerodynamic package of the BMW CLR 600 GT Lumma Design is presented with great attention to detail. Alongside a front spoiler with LED daytime driving lights and side skirts, a rear diffuser is also included. as well as the obligatory new set of 20" alloy rims in a racing spokes design and black surface finish. For the interior, Lumma has covered it in Alcantara and leather, added an ergonomically shaped sports steering wheel, a new set of aluminum pedals, new foot rests, velour floor and trunk mats with a leather trim, and interior trims in embossed carbon leather.
In place of the 408 BHP (300 kW) found in the series models, the eight-cylinder engine now produces 490 BHP (360 kW). In comparison to the series model (600 Nm), the maximum torque now lies at a powerful 720 Newtonmeters. The top speed has been increased to 160 mph. A flow-optimized muffler with four stainless steel tail pipes, each 90 millimeters in diameter, adds to the sound of the performance-enhanced eight-cylinder, providing a robust “sports sound.” The wheel housings are embellished with LUMMA GTB Monoblock alloy rims with Vredestein Ultra-High-Performance 255/35-20 tires on the front and 285/30-20 at the drive shaft. Lowered by 20 millimeters, the 9 and 10.5 x 20 inch wheels in a racing spokes design, with their black surface finish, look even more sporty underneath the mudguardsfenders.

2013 BMW 640d xDrive Coupe Specification Review

The new BMW 640d xDrive Coupe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds. The 230 kW/313 hp diesel powerplant uses BMWTwinPower Turbo technology to ensure outstanding efficiency, and joins forces with the standard-fitted eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox to deliver exceptionally low fuel consumption and emissions. The xDrive system distributes the power generated by the engine precisely between the front and rear wheels as the situation demands. Pulling the strings behind the scenes is an electronic control unit which links xDrive up with the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system to ensure unbeatable traction, maximum safety, top-class handling and optimum power development in all weather and road conditions. The average fuel consumption of the BMW 640d xDrive Coupe stands at 5.7 – 5.8 litres per 100 kilometres / 48.7 – 49.6 mpg imp (in the EU test cycle, depending on the tyre format), while CO2 emissions are 149 – 153 grams per kilometre.
