Motorola has officially revealed its next two Android tablets, the XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition, each running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. The Motorola XOOM 2 has a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 10.1-inch display and 10+hrs of quoted battery life; the Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition, meanwhile, has an 8.2-inch display, the same processor, and 6hrs+ of battery life. Both have 5-megapixel main cameras and 1.3-megapixel front cameras.

The XOOM 2 is splash-resistant, and Motorola is billing the squared-off edges as ergonomic improvements on how easy the tablet is to hold. It’s 139 mm x 216 mm x 8.99 mm and 386g.
Motorola throw plenty of business-centric apps onto the larger of the two tablets too. Motorola has confirmed that its Xoom 2 tablet is on the way, which will come in two models. "We are very excited about these two new additions to our tablet portfolio that build on the success of the original Motorola XOOM to now deliver more powerful tablet experiences to the European market."

Both tablets will come with a 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear facing camera and a 1.3MP font facing camera. Motorola has said that both tablets will come out mid-way though this month. The original Xoom was 12.9mm thick. Both Xoom 2 tablet models will come with Motocast for media streaming with the 8.2in model specifically called a 'Media Edition'.

Motorola on Thursday announced its new XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition tablets. Motorola also pre-loaded the XOOM 2 with several enterprise apps in hopes of attracting the corporate market. The XOOM 2 Media Edition also runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb but is thinner, lighter, has a smaller 8.2-inch display.
