2012 Citroen C1 Facelift Review

Citroën has released the facelifted C1 for the second time. C1 has been on the market since 2005 and the first facelift was launched in 2009 with minor upgrades, Citroen’s compact, economical and ecological C1 city car has been refreshed for 2012. A CD audio system with Citroën’s integrated Connecting Box (Bluetooth® system with USB socket) and an Electronic Gearbox System with steering-mounted paddles.

This second update is little bigger and features bolder looks, better equipment and a more efficient engine. Biggest changes includes a new front bumper with integrated chevron badge, vertical LED daytime running lights and fog lamps. The headlights stay unchanged but the bonnet has been made shorter. New 14-inch wheels are also available.

Interior changes are minor and include leather steering wheel for EGS models, while manual gearbox versions get a new shift knob.

Under the bonnet is a new three cylinder gasoline engine packing 67 hp, with CO2 emissions at 99g/km. Equipped with a manual gearbox, the new Citroën C1 1.0i offers a fuel economy of up to 65.7mpg (4.3l/100km) over a combined cycle.
