Russian fighter Denis Lebedev knocked out Shawn Cox in the second round to complete his first defence of his interim WBA cruiserweight title in Moscow on Wednesday.
The Russian eventually took out his lesser-known opponent from Barbados with a powerful left swing. Cox tried to get up but could not beat the count, losing only for the second time in his career.
"Two rounds might not be much for you, but for us, who have worked for months for this, they were two really sweet rounds," Lebedev’s trainer Kostya Tszyu said after the fight, quoted by RIA Novosti.
