working towards the dream...

I love all of the intricate details of Paris, I love that she stays there being beautiful just waiting for us to visit once again.  I have missed her this year!  We are planning a trip for Spring and I cannot wait to see how little she has changed!

I hope you have a dreamy weekend!
We will be here working hard to be able to visit next Spring!

there has been talk...

Over the past few weeks there has been talk of one of my favorite places in the world..  there has been talk of France and Paris around here.  We have been talking about taking sometime and visiting and shopping to bring things back from this place that I love.  My heart beats a little faster each time it comes up.  Yes there are projects here and there are many many things going on but when talk like this starts a girl cannot help but to get excited and her brain starts to really turn and see what can be done.  It is a little dream of mine and I am going to make it work.... soon.

These are some images of my last trip to Paris (I have many so I hope I have not shared any of these before) and they bring back memories.  Wishing you a wonderful day filled with talk of the future!

Ashley Cole has been involved in open training team

England Defender Ashley Cole has been involved in open training team, reports the BBC.
It was assumed that Cole would not participate in today's training England due to problems with the stomach. For this reason, he was forced to miss the Mayor of Krakow, which visited the English team.
However, the 31-year-old defender was one of the first appeared on Monday, and then joined Joe Hart, Glen Johnson, John Terry and some other players to national team for training in the gym. As we have previously reported that Cole in against France is uncertain.

An absolute dream inside and out...  I love the patina of the interior and exterior of the door.  The green makes it all come to life!

A big thank you to Leaf Magazine for publishing one of my photographs of the roses at Versailles in their most recent issue! I am very honored!

Also, look for a great giveaway here tomorrow!

By Invitation Only: Dream Day..

I am sure that many of you could have imagined where my dream day would take me.. Paris of course.   This time with the Mr.  we have not been to Paris together for over 10 years and I think a day spent with him there would be just dreamy.  We would wake up to this view and have our Pain au chocolat for breakfast with a tall glass of juice.

We would then wander the palace and gardens at Versailles, where he would of course take me on a row boat on the water while I relaxed and we could chat (uninterrupted- this is a luxury).

We would then picnic on the grass with baguettes, fresh fruit, cheeses and wine.  Once full we would lay back and find shapes in the passing clouds.

After a relaxing train ride back to the city we would window shop and go into some of my favorites for a real treat- Astier de Villate and always something vintage and memorable.

A nice visit to Merci would be a great idea too.. maybe a little light reading while we have a pick me up in the cafe.

A little more shopping.

A before dinner snack with a great view of the rooftops of Paris.

Finally a beautiful view of the city at sunset from Tour Eiffel.

 What do you dream of?

Please take a moment to visit the other ladies and see what their dream days hold..

Paris in the Spring...

I am so missing Paris right now..  I love to visit in the spring!  I have had many emails as of late asking to share my favorite places in Paris and France so I thought that I would put together a post this coming week with all of the things that make Paris my favorite city.

I would love to have you share your favorites too!  I am sure those who are traveling this coming year would like a glimpse into what makes the city so special to so many people.

Wishing you a dream filled Saturday!

These are the sweet treats that my hubby brought me back from his trip just a few short weeks ago.

Love Laduree....

Missing Paris....

My husband is in Paris today with out me... very sad I know..  I have sent him to my favorite places to eat, sleep and shop in hopes that he will have a nice time and bring me home something extra sweet.  I am super jealous and wish I was there with him!

What are your plans for the weekend?  Jetting off to a beautiful foreign city?  Any plans for St. Patrick's day?

Lost in Arles...

A few weeks back I was feeling a little out of sorts.. a little lost at the beginning of the year, it always seems like a time when you should be overly motivated, ready to run out of the gates and get some things really taken care of, make changes and plan for the year ahead.  Well, I was in a total funk and kinda bummed out.  On a Sunday morning I had a chance to take a little time to myself and was wandering around in the land of the blogs, I came across Lost in Arles a blog written by Heather,  I spent well over an hour reading her posts and looking through her beautiful photos.   I finally felt like myself, I felt inspired and awake for the first time in what seemed like a month (the holidays really took a lot out of me this year).  I am ready to go, ready to be inspired, ready to travel and ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead.   Maybe I will visit France in the Fall this year, I know I will be working on stream lining my time and energy into projects that I really want and need to do, and maybe just maybe I will be taking a few more leaps of faith this year.

I wanted to thank Heather and thank all of the bloggers that take their time posting so many fantastic images and inspiration!

Paris flash back

I have been dreaming of going back to France for a few weeks now.  I wish I was able to go for the Maison & Objet show, my dream really.  Maybe for the Fall show...  but I have been looking through my pictures and realized that there is a lot that I did not share with you.  These are just a few pictures that I took inside the Louvre, I was a little giddy in there (my shoes were killing my feet and I think I may have lost it for a little while).  I took photos of things that made me smile as you can see!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend filled with things that make you smile!

Inspiration by invitation...

A few of my favorite things...  French Chateau's, Peonies, vintage and Astier de Viallatte.  Surrounding yourself with people and things you love is the ultimate luxury.  They don't have to be the trendiest, newest and the most expensive or but they should be what makes you laugh, smile and bring you joy.

"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion, to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly, to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart, to bear all cheerfully, to all bravely await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony."

William Henry Channing (1810-1884)

Today's post is part of a wonderful group of bloggers who have been brought together by Marsha over at Splenderosa.  This quote is a great example of how so many of us would like to live.  Stop by and see what everyone has come up with.

Wishing you a wonderful start to the short week!
